Learn About Our Financial Assistance Program

South Florida Ultimate is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to grow the sport of Ultimate Frisbee in the South Florida tri-county area. We understand that, from time to time, there may be a financial barrier to participating in our leagues, so we have created this program to increase accessibility by helping players with league fees.
In previous years, we priced league registrations based solely on whether you were a student or a non-student. However, we have now adopted a model that allows anyone to request assistance and encourages community members to sponsor other players.
As of right now, we have collected $700 available thanks to donations from players like you who believe that others should get the gift of playing this sport. Please note that funding is limited, and we cannot guarantee financial assistance to all applicants.
Please fill out this application to be considered by the board to be a recipient. Some key points:
- All responses are confidential and will only be viewed by a portion of the SFU Board.
- Full and partial financial assistance may be available.
- We will notify you before the league draft of our decision.
This program is intended for people who cannot afford to play league or who have experienced financial hardship. Some examples are students, youth players, or any player who needs assistance.
