We've moved Spring League from Holiday Park to Plantation Central Park, so that we can have grass fields!

Last year we had 101 awesome frisbee players play at Spring League, and this year, we’re welcoming back all skill levels 16 years and older to come out and play ultimate! No experience is necessary to play; all are welcome!

Regular season games will be Sunday afternoons from 4 pm - 6 pm, starting March 22nd.

We're planning on 6 weeks of regular play (Break for Easter and Mother's Day) with finals on Sunday May 17th!  Here is the schedule of games:

  • March 22nd
  • March 29th
  • April 12th
  • April 19th
  • April 26th
  • May 3rd

Fees will be:

  • $30 for students.
  • $50 EARLY Registration for everyone through March 1st.
  • $60 REGULAR Registration for everyone else from March 2nd until noon March 16th.
  • $60 LATE Registration for everyone else (No Jersey Guarantee) from noon, March 22nd to April 5th.

Player fees will be are used for fields, lights, insurance, prizes, and jerseys for the league.

Regular registration is open as of Monday, Mar 2 and ends on Monday, Mar 16

We use this information to draft teams that have even gender distributions.

We use your e-mail to send you updates and league information through the email you provide here.

Not required, but often our captains find reaching out via SMS/GroupMe/WhatsApp is much better than email. Your number would be shared with your team.

Our insurance policy requires us to report how many people within certain age-ranges exist in the league. We do not ask for your birthdate to protect your privacy.

New ranking system: We've changed our way of evaluating skill level to be more holistic. This helps captains pick balanced teams, especially for players new to the community.

This is to help captains draft, especially in cases where we captains might not know you. Check all that apply. You must pick one.

Note: Please pick at least one of the above.

Knowing how often you plan on being there helps captains pick well-rounded teams. If you have specific dates you will be out, be sure to place that in the comments.

You’ll be able to rep SFU anytime you take the field with your custom jersey. It will be your team color for this season.

Type the name of the person you would like to partner with. The captains during the draft will make every effort to accommodate this request, but we can't guarantee this.

Type here any additional comments you may have (if you can't attend certain weeks, really don't want to play with a specific person, or want to give captains some idea of who you are go ahead). The captains and organizers will use this information during the player draft.

If your captain and your team wins the league, you'll have your name and team's name be featured on our league trophy. Captains get to pick their teams in the draft and are responsible for communicating to their teams on a weekly basis as well as ensuring that games maintain fair, spirited, competitive, and fun play.

FYI: Captains get a $10 discount on their league entry!

Also be sure to come to our DRAFT PARTY location/time TBD, come get hype about the league and watch the captains select teams. Get to know your new teammates and see friendly faces too!

You can sponsor a player for their league or clinic fees by selecting here. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes toward sponsored player fees. You can directly sponsor a player of your choosing, or trust that it will go to a qualified applicant as selected by the SFU Board.

We all know how special ultimate is. From making lifelong friends, staying fit and enjoying the outdoors, throwing that perfect throw to your teammate, or chasing down that plastic, ultimate can be life changing. Want to play ultimate but just can’t afford the fees right now? We want to help you get sponsored to play league. If you are interested in seeking sponsorship, please fill out this application by the applicable deadline. It will be reviewed by a portion of the SFU Board and you’ll be notified if you are a recipient. Sponsorships are not guaranteed, and all applications will be reviewed before each league.Partial and full sponsorships may be available. The recipient of any level sponsorship is expected to have reliable transportation and be able to attend at least 75% of the sponsored league.

South Florida Ultimate Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Some of your league fees and donations go toward helping us advance our mission of growing ultimate frisbee in South Florida.

Our current programming includes sponsored adult beginner pickup, adult/youth clinics, and donating discs to new players. We also have some exciting new events on the horizon, stay tuned for more announcements!

One day we wish to offer paid positions for coaching, league organizing, and staffing our youth teams and clinics. Your participation in our leagues help bring the sport to new players and the next generation! If you are interested in volunteering, please check out our board page to get in touch.
